Looking for a healthcare provider is a hard thing to do. In 2001, when I moved back to Greenville from a site assignment in Pennsylvania for my employer Fluor Corporation, I was looking for a dentist. I asked my friend, who is a Dental Hygienist, who she would recommend. I told her I wanted someone close to where I would be living in the Simpsonville area. She, without hesitation, said, Dr. Matt Bynum. She had heard a lot of really good things about him and his practice in Simpsonville. Most people are afraid of going to the dentist, I look forward to it because Dr. Matt and his staff make my appointment feel like I am going to visit old friends. From the moment I set foot into the office until I leave, I feel like I am the only patient that they have at that moment in time. Like old friends, we catch up on what we have been doing since we last saw each other. Dr. Matt has always been professional and knowledgeable in his approach to helping me solve my dental problems, but personable in his development of our Dentist/Patient relationship. Dr. Matt and his staff are #1 in my book and in my mouth!!! They help and make me want to SMILE!!!

No doubt my teeth are awesome, thanks to Matt’s acquired knowledge in his field, his expertise and his talented beautiful staff, I’m forever grateful. Before and during the process I battled with the fact I thought my vanity was overboard. But when it was complete I realized the joy I had been missing. I can’t believe I waited a lifetime before I could smile with enthusiasm and sincerity. Smiling is so contagious, it’s the one free gift we can afford to give to so many and you always get one back.

My initial introduction to Matt Bynum and Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry was to stop by and “kick the tires” at the box office to see if I was interested in their services.

Owning my own business caused me to look deeply at the office function, work flow, and professionalism of Matt’s organization. I was exceedingly impressed and decided then and there that Matt Bynum was the right person to correct the less than attractive smile I had been attempting to hide all of my life

It is obvious that the mission of Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry is to make changes in their lives of others through state-of-the-art technology and creative and artistic aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Matt, my next smile is for you!

I have had the pleasure to work with Dr. Matt Bynum in many cases during my media career. I have witnessed the transformation of a past morning radio partner of mine. I have seen the changing of lives from individuals who took place in television make-overs that I hosted.

These transformation brought literal tears of joy and new directions for these people. I myself have had my teeth whitened by Dr. Matt…
However, it was not until my husband Jason and I went to talk about his smile (or lack there of).

Jason, is a retired hockey player and years of abuse in this sport had left my handsome husband to shy to smile. To this very day, when Jason is smiling out at a party or even just with the kids… I thank Dr. Matt for making his life so carefree and confident. I now know why all those people on TV with me had tears; and I KNOW why people say he changes lives.

Only one regret… we would have done it sooner!  Thanks Dr. Matt, you are our Doctor AND our friend.

Here I am, a year after you gave me back my smile.  Is it fair that you did all the work and I get all the complements?  Probably not; and that is why I’m writing this note.

There is no question as to the quality of work you do.  With every compliment, I start to say your name and most people finish your name for me.  You have certainly become known for the art you do.  There is no day, no kind work that doesn’t make me feel as grateful for my decision to make time for me… the person most of us put off.

My life has changed with the simplest of practices… things that some take for granted; I will never.  The simple task of brushing my teeth brings the first smile of the day, that first, “Thank You, Dr Matt”, in the mirror.  Through all my daily abuses and even my vice, coffee… still, they are just like the first day I left your office!  Silly family snapshots are now carefree, not self-contentious and closed mouth like pictures in the past.

I guess I knew they would be amazing after I got them, but a year later I am just as amazed by the fact they are mine.  They don’t feel or look like they were put there… No, I was just blessed to get a second change at my smile.  Something that a former hockey player, didn’t think he’d ever get.

Through my life, though young as I am, I’ve endured many trials.  Difficult as they may be, I chose to continually push forward and rise above.  Raised in a single parent home with limited funds, important factors such as dental care were often passed over or cast aside.  I was in middle school by the time I received my first check up, resulting in braces that ultimately left me with a smile that was anything but inviting.  It wasn’t until after my high school graduation that Dr Matt and I had a chance meeting.  Assuming that I would never be able to afford the expense of correcting the mistakes made by my Orthodontist, I thought I had no choice but to continue through life shielding my smile, afraid of letting my true spirit shine through.  It wasn’t until I hear news of a “New Year, New You” makeover and submitted my information that I even considered the possibilities of a brighter future… one in which I wouldn’t have to hide behind seldom parted lips.  I received a call from Dr Matt’s office offering a free consultation.  Though I was not chosen for the makeover, Dr Matt saw endless possibilities and knew he could help.  Skeptical as I may have been, I heard him out and was intrigued by his testimonials and examples of his work.  He was very informative and thorough and following our meeting, I was sold.  He helped me through the process, step by step, always putting my mind at ease.  The comforting and inviting atmosphere he and his staff have provide4d left me with feelings of anticipation rather than dread.  Now that my smile is complete, I can honestly say I have no regrets… not a single one.  It has been a truly amazing, pleasurable experience of which I have since recommended to several family members and friends.  They say that smiles are contagious and I’ve never believed that more.  The warmth and ease my smile brings not only myself, but those I come in contact with, never ceases to amaze me.  He is a master of his craft, a true talent, Dr Matt.  Change your smile…change your life?  These words can only hint at the impact my “upgraded” smile has made on my life.  My future is no doubt brighter thanks to you Dr Matt.

Dr. Matt & Staff,
This is my testimony and it is truly how I feel!!!

I have always had spaces in my teeth and was very self-conscious of this.  As I got older I accepted the way my teeth look.  Dr Matt came into the office where I work and that was the moment my life changed.  From the very first time I walked into his office I knew he was the one to change my life forever through my smile.  He and his staff have a gentle way of making you feel like family.  His work is absolutely phenomenal.  I have never been so proud to smile and I am so excited there are no words to truly express the way I feel… Thank you Dr Matt for such a fantastic beautiful smile, you have changed my life forever!!!!

Lots of love to all of you,

Dorothy English

I never wanted to smile before.  The kids in school always asked if I brushed my teeth.  It was very embarrassing.  Dr Matt and his team made me feel comfortable and were confident they could make me have a beautiful smile.  When they handed me the mirror to see the completed work I couldn’t stop smiling.  My mom even shed a few tears.  Now I am confidant and always smiling thanks to Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry.

My experience with Dr. Matt Bynum has been the best dental experience of my life.  From the minute you walk in the door you feel like you are part of a family.  All of the staff is professional, friendly, and sincerely interested in you well being.
My new smile was a major project but through it all there was no pain.  Dr. Matt made sure that I experienced o discomfort throughout the whole process.  I have had a lot of dental work done in my life but I have never been so comfortable.
My new smile has made a great difference n my life.  I can smile with confidence and the look is so natural people can’t believe how good it looks and what a difference it has made in my appearance.  They fell great, look great and I am enjoying flashing that smile every them I get the chance.

Thanks Dr. Matt and you great staff for making this a wonderful experience.

Hello Dr. Bynum and Staff,

I have been very self-conscious about m teeth, where I was always cautious not to show too much of them when I laughed or even talked. One day on the radio I heard the advertisement of Bynum Aesthetic Dentistry.  I have done some search on your website to learn a little more about your office.   So I decided to make my first appointment. My first visit was great.  My second visit was great too, even though I had a tooth pulled.  My final visit was the best because I had awesome teeth, not afraid to smile and not ashamed of my teeth anymore.

Dr. Bynum, You have really changed the way I look and the way I feel about myself.

Thank you very much,

Tunde Szabo

Dear Dr. Matt and Staff,

I just wanted to take a few moment to say THANK YOU for my amazing new smile!  As you all know, I am a survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and even though I’ve made q full recovery cancer wise, the after affects of chemo and radiation have taken a toll, not only on my physical appearance, but also on my self-esteem.  Battling cancer was probably one of the hardest things I have ever endured and I am thankful everyday that I am a survivor.  One of the side affects, form the chemo and radiation, was the deterioration of m teeth.  For years I had to live with my teeth breaking, chipping, not holding fillings, discoloration, and of course the pain I endured daily.  It was hard for me eat, chew, drink warm /cold liquids, but most of all, I wouldn’t smile.  The appearance of my teeth were so bad, I felt that if I smiled, no matter what I would say, or what great outfit I was wearing, no one would be able to see past my teeth.  The reason I felt this way is because I felt that way every time I looked in the mirror.  So for years, I wouldn’t smile or I would try my best to talk with out showing my teeth.  It was a hard task to do (talk with out showing my teeth, but it was al talent that I as able to acquire).  I wouldn’t allow myself to be in family photos, family videos, or even with friends.  I lived my life in a shell and all because of the appearance of my teeth.  All I wanted in life was to be able to smile with my 2 boys…My Angels!  The children; I was told that I would never be able to have.  Due to all of the chemo, radiation, and surgeries that I had, I was told that I was basically sterile and would not be able to bear children. Now that I have my angels, I was never a le to “smile” with them in pictures, because of the appearance of my teeth.  And that is where you came into my life, Dr. Matt.  You and your staff gave me one of my greatest wishes of all… To be able to “smile” with my angels.  When I first came to your office, I was terrified! I had been a regular patient at various dentists over the years and no one seemed to be able to help me.  No matter what work was done, it didn’t last long.  I had many short -term procedures done for my teeth that had long-term problems.  Many dentists told me that my teeth couldn’t be saved and that I needed to get dentures.  I never gave up! No matter what those dentist told me, something in the back of my mind; dept telling me those dentures wasn’t the answer.  So over the years, I dealt with the pain, and would get fixed what I could until the next “pain” would come along.  The first thing you said to me, Dr. Matt, was…”You’re teeth can be saved.”  Yes, I was skeptical and in the back of my mind I did have doubts, but man, did you prove me wrong!  From the first time that I met you and our staff, everyone made me feel that I was number one and health and thoughts were you’re main concern.  You were always open to any questions or concerns that I might have had and you always spoke to me openly and would always let me know the pros and cons of any procedure you were recommending to me.  On another note, the one thing that terrified me the most, was the pain that I was going to endure, during the “reformation” of my smile.  I can honestly sit her today and can’t come up with examples to list where I was in pain with anything that you or your staff did.  You took the time to discuss with me everything you were going to do and how the procedure was going to be done.  That was something that no dentist (in the past) had ever done for me before.  My main concern was “pain” not the outcome, but yet again, you and your staff stood by me with any questions, concerns or fears that I had.  And no mater what I was feeling or going thru, you and your staff always had a way to set me at ease.  The whole process was virtually pain free and worth every minute.  And now, when I look at my new smile, I can’t help but to say, “Thank you, Dr. Matt” in my mind.  Not only have you changed my smile, you’ve also change my life!  Everywhere I go, I get compliments on y beautiful smile and my beautiful white smile. Everyone asks me, how do you keep your teeth so white and beautiful?  And I answer… Dr. Matt!  Even though you may feel that you changed the physical appearance of my smile, Dr. Matt, you’ve done so much more.  I walk with my head held high, I smile every chance I get, and I tend to find myself jumping in front of the camera so that I can be in the picture.  But most of all, you gave me the “Pride” to smile…not just with friends and family…but with my greatest wish of all…SMILE WITH MY ANGELS! You have given me my life back, my self-esteem back… the two things that I thought I would never be able to regain fully again.  Thank, you, Dr. Matt and staff, for making my life “anew” and regained.  Thank you from, the bottom of my heart, for all the wonderful things and blessings that you have brought to my life.  No words will ever be able to express the thanks that I have in my heart for the wonderful blessings that you provide, not only to me, but to may other’s out there that have been touched by your talent.  You and your staff are a blessing in disguise and I would recommend your practice to anyone and everyone.  Keep up the great work and God Bless you all!
